Whether you’re a recreational boating enthusiast, jet skier or kayaker, Boatwise is your tool to staying safe when planning your next aquatic trip.

Boatwise provides users with comprehensive coverage of marine and weather information for NSW and Tasmanian waterways.

The app allows users to view boat ramp locations and their facilities, restricted speed areas, marine reserves, paddle areas and other notable points of interest.

Importantly, Boatwise provides users with access to real-time weather forecasts, tides, wind and swell information, ensuring users can make informed and safe decisions. A dedicated monitoring feature allows users to select a location of interest, and receive notifications on weather conditions and warnings unique to that area.

The following points of interest (POI’s) are included within the app:

• Bar cams
• Jettys
• Barways
• Marinas
• General information (local knowledge, useful info, inland lake services)
• Paddle zones
• Anchorage areas
• Marine reserves
• No tow zones
• No wash zones
• Naval waters
• Speed limits

About MAST

Marine and Safety Tasmania (MAST) is a statutory authority that was established in 1997 to manage functions relating to the safety of all recreational boats and commercial vessels up to 500 tonnes, or 35 metres in length, in Tasmania.

MAST is responsible for the registration of vessels, licensing of motor boat operators and the management of moorings. MAST is also responsible for boating safety education and works closely with its stakeholders and industry.

About SLST

Surf Life Saving Tasmania is a volunteer based not-for-profit community service association and is the key volunteer agency for aquatic safety in Tasmania. Through a new exciting merger, SLST supports the Tasmanian Police with inland, inshore and offshore search and rescue services state wide.

We create a safe aquatic environment through patrols on Tasmania’s coastline and through various education and training programs.

Surf Life Saving Tasmania comprises a State centre, 22 Surf Life Saving clubs and services located around the coastline and over 3,000 members who are all committed to saving lives and positively impacting on their local communities.
